Structure of the Ministry

The Ministry is structured into six directorates:

• Administration and Finance

• Civil Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Planning, Research and Statistics

• Account

• Transport Directorate

Administration and Finance

• The Directorate assists the Permanent Secretary in the general administration of the Ministry.

• Holds for the Permanent Secretary as needs arises.

• Co-ordinates and supervises the work of the various sections of the department.

• Deployment of senior staff in the department.

• Liaises with the Parastatals under the supervision of the  Ministry.

• Ensures Senior Staff Postings with due consultation with the Permanent Secretary;

• Approves annual and casual leave for Junior as well as overtime claims;

• Implements the decision of the Senior Staff Management  Committee.
