These are the two classical example of purposefully built inland tourist Resort which are designed and developed on bare lands, very far away from the sea, just like Ibom Plaza.

The monumental structure, known as Ibom Connection which symbolizes the unity of the people of Akwa Ibom State, stands in the centre of the roundabout, a delightful art-piece, skirted with dazzling selection of uniquely beautiful flowers. Indeed the ornamental looks of the Ibom Plaza is not only derived from topiraism but also from the elegance of its floral. An open theatre with A. I. T. television board provides the convenience to watch all television games/football tournaments, other staged drama and entertainment programmes free of charge from all corners of the Plaza.

The multi-coloured lighting system planted at straight corners of the plaza is another fascinating feature. The doubled-rolled water fountain within the plaza provides a kaleidoscope of water patterns which with the plaza.  The shopping centre and parking lot provide another exciting facility which attracts visitors to various shops rich in collecting of assorted service and goods for young and old.  For convenience, there are many toilet facilities and water to serve the user of the plaza on daily basic.
