Objectives:

1. To serve as watchdog for Government by monitoring projects and assessing the performance of such projects;

2.  To monitor implementation of capital projects including Life Enhancement, UNDP;

    c.      To relate with the following bodies:

              i.     National Planning Commission (NPC);

             ii.     National Council on Economic

                      Development/Statistics

             iii.    Joint planning board;

             iv.    National Manpower Board; and

            v.      Other States on Economic Planning and

                      Statistical matters;

Responsibilities of the Ministry

1.   Development plan formulation and coordination of implementation process in Ministries, Statutory Corporations, Boards and other Parastatals.
