Interstate Boundary includes
Akwa Ibom State border with Abia State and Akwa Ibom State
border with Cross River State. Most of the border
communities with other States have been designated special
development areas, where the State government is executing
a number of developmental projects and providing basic
infrastructure.
The State Boundary Committee
also within the period, mediated over a number of
intra-state boundary/land disputes. Most of these disputes
have been peacefully resolved while some are still being
handled by the Committee.
Supervision of State Boards and Parastatals
There are two boards in the State that have been making
reports to the Deputy Governor’s Office. These Boards are:

Evaluation and Monitoring Agency
This Agency has not been established three years into the
life of the Administration.
AKWA IBOM SCHOOL SPORTS
The magic of this
Administration achievements in Schools Sports Development
started when on Tuesday, 5th May 2001, His
Excellency, the Deputy Governor convened a meeting with
the following:

The Director School
Sports AKS
-
The Ag. Director of
Sports AKS
-
And other Sport loving
people and asked the big QUESTION of how we could
resuscitate School Sports in the state.
At the meeting it was agreed
that since His Excellency was saddled with the
responsibility of being in charge of sports in the State,
all arms of Sports in the state come under his direct
control. From that time, school sports began to breathe a
new life.
